Yay, you have it! Yay, you glued it! Yay, you managed to take it off! Now how do you clean it ?

Well, this is one of those things not particularly funny that you have to do once you use your lace front. The thing is, you have to do it well, in order to avoid glue build-up.

1- Use the glue/tape-remover manufactured for your glue/tape.
2- Try to keep the most glue possible on your skin rather that the lace: your skin is much easier to clean, don’t worry :) .
Goo_gone3- Use a generic glue remover in case you can’t purchase the appropriate remover, or if it is not useful enough. Goo Gone is a popular one.
4- Use acetone if none of these got the glue away. Try never to use acetone on your skin. To use it on your lace front, only dip parts that have glue residue on them, do not dip the whole lace front in the acetone. If you do that, you will dry the hair. Let it soak in the acetone, and then brush lightly : be careful not to damage your lace. The fray block comes in handy, it is not just to store it in your bathroom :) .
Acetone
5- Always shampoo after taking the glue off, to get rid of all the remover and have a smooth application afterwards.

The word is that tape is easier to remove than glue. The only drawback is that tape is more visible. The good news is that, the combination of both usually gives quite a great bond.

Keep your lace clean, and chances are you’ll enjoy your lace front much longer!
